Welcome to the Kingdom!

Yesterday we has another outreach in Pirea, a suburb to Thessaloniki. We played and sang a couple of songs and Eva shared the Gospel by drawing on a board. I joined Stavroula (lady in our worship team) who stood talking to two girls. They seemed moderately interested at first. I then felt I got a word of knowledge for one of them. read more…
Baptism!
This Friday we had the joy to see Argiris and Panagiotis being baptized in the sea! Argiris came to the Lord last fall and Panagiotis a couple of months ago. With Kostas, they are now doing the Alpha course with another recently saved brother in Argiri & Peggy’s home. Also a woman that recently gave her heart to Jesus joined in last time.
Praise Him!

Trip to Skopia
Pic; Rob Campell in a blanket
This weekend I went to Skopia with Rob Campell and his assistant Joe and Tommie to visit our sister Church there. Rob is on the board for cell churches in the US. It was good to see my friends there and Rob’s teaching was excellent. On Sunday morning he preached about cell groups and compaired it with the story in Luke Chapter 5, where some men carried their lame friend before Jesus in a mat. To illustrate the story Rob let four men in the church carry him in a blanket
Sad goodbye

The American team from Dwelling place have gone back to the States and left a BIG hole in my heart. But God is good. The last evening they lay their hands on me on a bus station and prayed. We stepped on the next bus and i felt the bus started to move although it was still parked at the station :-D For the first time I got ”drunk” in the Spirit! Something i’ve longed and prayed for since I saw one of the interns from Dwelling Place (Daryl) walking around for 2-3 days in Florida in January when I was visiting, being filled and overfilled with HIM. I’ so grateful and can’t wait to see it happning to the rest of us in our Church. read more…
Outreaches

We are having fun with the American team from the church Dwelling Place. It’s such a joy and encouragement to have them here. Like fresh water being poured into a dried out hot, Greek pool
We do outreaches in the city. The Americans perfom a beautiful dance or a drama about how life started out with perfect communion with God and then sin came and pulled us away.
Easter Celebration
We have been celebrating the Greek easter in a Friday service toghether with the Metodist Church. We are building lovely relationships with our brothers and sisters there and it’s a joy to have them across the street. Tommy is praying for the street to be a “hub” for the Holy Spirit in the town
No Compassion
This past weekend one of the women in the organisation working with
prostitutes asked me to take a prostiute we met and prayed for last week on the street to the hospital. I called a friend and we took her there. They wanted to cut off her leg. She’s on heroine since 12 years and the leg was badly infected from dirty needles. read more…
Join the heavenly celebration!!!
This evening T. came to my house. This beautiful woman, a former circus acrobat and dancer came into our church on our first Sunday service 3 weeks ago, drawn by the worship music. She told me more about her son that lives with her mother in law after her husband died some years ago. The son remained with the husband’s relatives. She so much longs for her son and she waits for him to come back to her. I suddenly realised the striking resemblence between her story and the story about the prodigal son! We read it together and I told her how God is the Father in the story and how He – like her - patiently waits and long for His lost children to come to their senses and return to Him. God is the Father that is standing waiting for us, seraching the horizon to see if His lost ones might appear in the distance. read more…
3rd Sunday; Another brother saved!

We had our third service yesterday in our new little church we’ve rented. Another man was saved! He is a friend of Panagiotis, the new neighbour of Eva & Kostas that had a cool encounter with the Lord in our last Sunday service. (Panagiotis lost his speech as the Holy Spirit came upon him. Luckily he regained it
and told a friend about Jesus.) Panagiotis friend wanted to get saved too, so last Tuesday they called Tommie and asked him to come over to Panagiotis house to pray with the friend for salvation. Yesterday, there two guys brought a third friend. read more…
